Announcing SupplierScore

Replacing spreadsheet-driven supplier quality for small manufacturers

There’s a weird gap in manufacturing software.

The big enterprise quality platforms do everything, cost a fortune, and take months to implement. Most small manufacturers can’t justify that, so they track supplier quality in spreadsheets. Columns A through Z, color-coded tabs, maybe a shared Google Drive folder if you’re feeling organized. Every small manufacturer I’ve met runs their quality program this way, and every single one of them knows it’s held together with tape.

The spreadsheet works fine when you have five suppliers. It starts to crack when you have twenty. And when an auditor shows up asking for your approved vendor list, your NCR history, and your CAPA closure rates, it completely falls apart. Suddenly you’re up late the night before pulling data out of three different files and hoping nothing’s out of date.

I built SupplierScore for the shops stuck in that middle ground.

It’s a supplier quality management tool built around what a quality manager at a 15 to 50 person shop would actually use every day. Here’s what’s in it:

  • Approved Vendor List in one place, with status tracking and approval workflows
  • NCR and CAPA tracking so nothing gets lost between discovery and resolution
  • Supplier scorecards that build over time and give you a real picture of vendor performance
  • Document vault for certs, inspection reports, and all the paperwork auditors love to ask for
  • Audit prep tools so your next AS9100 or ISO review doesn’t require an all-nighter

I kept the scope tight on purpose. A tool that tries to do everything usually ends up doing nothing well, and I’d rather build something people open every morning than something that looks great in a comparison chart.

If you’re running quality at a smaller shop, take a look at supplierscore.app. I’d like to hear how it fits into your workflow.
